Biological Design: Structural Architecture of Organisms (co-instructor, 2013)
Undergraduate course introducing first-year, non-major, students to the principles of biomechanics and bio-inspired design.
  • Worked with faculty instructor to jointly design syllabus.
  • Designed new, interdisciplinary assignments and projects for students.
  • Created and presented lectures.
Comparative Biology of the Vertebrates (graduate teaching assistant, 2010)
Undergraduate course for upper-level biology majors,  presenting vertebrate evolution and comparative anatomy through lectures and dissection-based laboratories.
  • Led laboratory sessions and presented prosections, using skeletal and preserved speciments.
  • Contributed to creating lectures and exams, and leading review sessions.

Medical School Course

Human Gross Anatomy (graduate teaching assistant, 2010-1013)
Course for first-year medical students combining lectures and dissection-based cadaver laboratories
  • Wrote and delivered lectures and presented workshops on prosection materials.

  • "Measuring flow velocity during suction feeding with radio-opaque markers" (2011, research project for Physics concentration)
